Michael Malone

Michael is a mediator with particular experience in employment and other civil disputes. He is a CEDR-accredited mediator and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, with extensive experience of helping parties resolve disputes at an early stage and outside formal proceedings.

He is available to mediate a wide range of disputes, including employment, commercial contract, property, trust, probate and partnership matters. He is also able to offer Early Neutral Evaluation in employment disputes, which can be especially useful in cases involving complex issues such as equal pay, discrimination and whistleblowing.

Michael is a strong believer in resolving disputes before they lead to Court or tribunal proceedings where possible, including through workplace mediation and early intervention.

Before joining Trinity Chambers as a mediator, Michael practised as a solicitor in Manchester and later sat as a salaried Employment Judge in Newcastle. He was among the first group of Employment Judges to be trained in judicial mediation and went on to conduct scores of mediations in employment cases.
